Not Even a Rainy Day Could Dampen Cierra and Danny's Edgewater Hotel Wedding
It was a cloudy, rainy day this past Saturday when Cierra and Danny tied the knot in Madison, Wisconsin. Luckily the pauses in rain paired beautifully with their schedule. It stopped just in time for a father-daughter first look. It stopped again for our trip to the Capitol Building, and it couldn't have been more cooperative when the couple wanted a few sunset photos at the gorgeous Edgewater Hotel's Lake Mendota pier.

I always say cloudy days make for the best photos. It's absolutely true. Rain isn't necessarily ideal, but I always have a dozen or so umbrellas in my trunk. Cierra and Danny didn't need them. They kept their timeline flexible, danced and mingled while it was it was coming down and we popped outside when it permitted.
Their can-do attitude, her infectious smile, and outpouring of love from family and friends made it the perfect wedding. Emily Triebold, an angelic singer, mesmerized guests with ethereal melodies as they entered and during the ceremony.

The crack Ring Security Force (Joel and Owen) kept their vigilant, sunglass covered eyes over the couple's jewelry while Kenna was so excited for the ceremony she dashed down the aisle into her mother's arms.
Even I got involved when, during the reception, Cierra slyly stood up and motioned to me to take her place while a blindfolded Danny was on the search for her garter.

It was a thrilling and beautiful day for two amazing heroes as the teacher and deputy joined forces and joined families.
It was so hard to pick just a few favorite moments so here's my 'far-too-many' choices for their day. For the full collection, and to download social media optimized images, go to their online gallery at https://clients.sableparkphotography.com/CierraAndDanny Ask them for the password.
